This morning I woke up to the wonderful news that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were awarded the title of Womenswear Designers of the Year at the CFDA awards, last night, for their work at The Row. It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Mary-Kate and Ashley’s designs for both The Row and Elizabeth and James, so I’m very happy that the CFDA recognised their luxury brand.
The Olsens are not the first “celebrity designers” to win an industry award; Victoria Beckham picked up the Designer Brand title at the British Fashion Awards, back in 2011. All three women have fully dedicated their time and attention to their fashion brands, and the hard work is clearly paying off. I can’t wait to see what comes next for The Row…
