Usually I hate those “get the look on a budget” features, as they tend to result in shameless designer knock-offs. But this is not one of those situations. I promise. After months of waiting the Spring/Summer 2012 ASOS Salon collection has finally launched online, and looking through the selection this morning their pale pink applique dress suddenly reminded me of Emma Stone’s gorgeous red Lanvin mini, which she wore to the Met Gala on Monday.

The ASOS Salon dress is in no way a direct copy, but it definitely has a similar vibe to Emma Stone’s Lanvin frock. The Alber Elbaz design was one of my favourite looks to hit the Met Gala red carpet, on Monday night, despite some deeming it too cutesy for Emma.
If you were also a fan of Emma’s dress but don’t have the budget for Lanvin then the ASOS number is a great option. The entire ASOS Salon collection is red carpet worthy, and my favourite look has to be the floral prom dress. I’m sure it will be an instant sell-out!
Was Emma one of your favourites at the Met Gala? Do you rate the ASOS Salon dress?
