What better way to start the week than with photos of a model wearing a gorgeous wedding dress? Last year Brazilian model Caroline Trentini married photographer Fabio Bartelt, and US Vogue have the exclusive pictures in their May 2012 issue. Although Vogue got all of the details – from the flat Valentino shoes Caroline Trentini wore at the wedding reception to the colour palette inside the church – all we really care about is the dress, right? The painted-satin and lace custom-made gown was designed by Caroline’s good friend, Olivier Theyskens.
I’ve had Olivier Theyskens on my wedding-dress-designer-wish-list ever since his work at Nina Ricci, so it’s a real treat to see his bridal design for Caroline Trentini in the pages of US Vogue. And although I don’t usually pay much attention to wedding trends, I think it’s interesting to see how heavily Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen gown is being referenced by brides today. Clearly she’s the number one bridal pinup! Will she even influence Angelia Jolie’s bridal style?
Do you like Caroline Trentini’s Olivier Theyskens wedding dress? Is it your style?
