Over the weekend I tweeted about my constant disappointment in Glamour magazine’s annual “Best Dressed” list. I didn’t really want to blog about it, as the (incorrect) list has nothing to do with style anyway, but it’s such a slow news day I’ve given in. Kristen Stewart was named the best dressed woman of 2012.
Strange choice, right? The most improved of 2012 I would happily agree with. But the best dressed? No, no, no. Glamour’s top five shapes up like this:
1. Kristen Stewart
2. Emma Watson
3. Victoria Beckham
4. Kate Middleton
5. Florence Welch
I’m grateful both Cheryl Cole (8) and Tulisa (35) were left out of the top five, but when genuine style inspirations like Emma Stone (24), Miranda Kerr (25), Beyoncé (27), Diane Kruger (28) and Nicole Richie (42) all rank at least ten places below Dannii Minogue (16) it’s hard not to want to pull your hair out. Yes, Glamour magazine’s annual “Best Dressed” may not mean a thing, but it’s still seriously frustrating.
