Celebrating Jean Paul Gaultier for Diet Coke in London

Last night I headed over the the Fifth Floor Bar at Harvey Nichols for the launch of Jean Paul Gaultier for Diet Coke. Mr Gaultier is the Creative Director at Diet Coke for 2012, and has designed two limited edition bottles featuring his signature looks: the corset and the Breton stripes. Jean Paul Gaultier wasn’t in the house himself (I think there was another launch taking place in Paris at the same time) but Hilary Alexander played host for the evening, entertaining us with JPG stories.

Apparently JPG’s fascination with the corset stems from his grandmother, who always wore corsets. He once told Hilary that before lacing herself in she’d take a sip of vinegar, as she’d wince and then pull the corset tighter.

The Diet Coke bottles will be available from Harvey Nichols stores nationwide from the 16th April. Along with the two bottles there’s also a Breton striped Diet Coke glass. I never want to drink from anything else again…

The Fifth Floor Bar – great if you like Diet Coke!
I went for the Breton stripe bottle…
To celebrate the Diet Coke collaboration Jean Paul Gaultier has also put together this hilarious film with dancing puppets. If you haven’t watched it yet make sure you check it out HERE
