Long ago I decided that Manhattan is the city for me, and since returning from my second visit to New York, in May this year, I’ve been desperate to go back. The Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse at Macy’s collection seems like a good enough reason to book a flight to JFK. The exclusive collection – which I’m sure you’ve all heard about by now – will hit Macy’s stores and Macys.com on August 31st. The designs aren’t what I expected, but I’m loving the look of the dresses. Here’s another look:
The tweed dress is my favourite piece as I love the way it shows off the shoulders. It would look fantastic on Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett or Cameron Diaz.
Explaining why he chose to partner with the famous department store, the Chanel designer said, “To me Macy’s is the perfect department store in the US where everybody can find what they’re looking for without ruining their budget.” And if Karl says something is perfect then it really is perfect. Well done Macy’s!
