The gorgeous and ever so stylish Chloe Sevigny is not only the perfect choice for UK Elle’s ‘style adviser’ she is also perfect for the cover! When I pick up a cover of Elle I can normally tell whether or not it is going to be a good issue depending on whether Keria Knightley is on the cover. With Chloe showing off her perfect pins on the months cover I knew it would be a good issue. And it is.
It is almost like Stevie (from DC) and me have come together and edited it ourselves. Chloe is on the cover, Selma Blair is interviewed, Alicia Keys gets a mention, and there is a stunning shoot by Jan Walters with a boho feel. It is literally like looking into my perfect magazine.
I’m sure most of you agree that sometimes Elle can get it spot on and other times it is lacking anything to pull you in. This issue is SO right I was actually stroking it while I read it!
I never buy British Vogue, so Elle is the only ‘big’ UK fashion magazine I read and I think if it keeps going in this direction it is going it is definitely going to over take Vogue.
Chloe Sevigny has been the ‘face’ of Coco’s Tea Party for a long time now and it is especially exciting to see her on a cover. I’m bored of actresses like Keira and Scarlett taking all the popular covers while really stylish women like Chloe like stuck in between diet features and the TV section. It is about time the Chloe’s and Selma’s of this world made the covers!

on the one hand I´d really love to see more of her and girls like zooey deschanel who are unique, on the other I´d be frustrated if it took over so that suddenly everyone dressed like them.

Yeaaa, I never get Elle. I read it whenever I’m at the salon waiting, but it’s just not that intriguing!
Chloe is fantastic. The covers should be given to people with great personal style which they can play upon in the issue. What the point of it not being a model if you’re just going to dress them up?
I’m a recent Chloe convert – I hated her before but now that I can see that her individuality really shines through in every picture.
And when I saw a spread of her house and her garden a couple of months ago, I was hooked.

Oh by the way it an excellent issue indeed very, informative, in fact a bit of an info overload. After reading this issue I got a bit excited and splashed all the trend info into one outfit, lol. People called me crazy. What can I say Elle brainwashed me.

UK Elle has been cool for quite sometime now and they have recently had a bit of a rehaul. According to Editor, Lorraine Candy, the magazine is pitching itself as a style publication. The new issue does look good, I think I will indulge myself.

I do love Uk Elle. Us Elle has been a lot better recently too. Isn’t it lovely when you read an issue you feel excited about and it puts you in a good mood? Love that feeling. (Shallow, moi?)
